[Zitate] Gesammelte Schätze im Juni

Juhu, nach dem tristen Tal der leeren Schatztruhen bin ich endlich auf ein unbekanntes, vielversprechendes Gebiet gestoßen...

Aldous Huxley
Brave New World
"Words can be like X-rays, if you use them properly - they'll go through anything. You read and you're pierced."
(Seite 60)

The bruises hurt him, the cuts were still bleeding, but it was not for pain that he sobbed; it was because he was all alone, because he had been driven out, alone, into this skeleton world of rocks and moonlight.
(Seite 118)

"Well, I'd rather be unhappy than have the sort of false, lying happiness you were having here."
(Seite 156)

Summer, Fireworks, and my Corpse
The cascade of fireworks stretching up into the sky were reaching their conclusion as well, and suddenly, like the end of a fleeting and vibrant life, the last light scattered into the night, to linger on only in the hearts of those who had witnessed it.
(Seite 76)

Even that much of a conversation with one of my friends made my heart feel like it would burst. I lived each day in anxiety and fear. Did I pronounce my words strangely? Did I smile right? Did I do anything to displease them?
(Seite 157)

After I stopped going to school the printed word and I had become close friends in various cafés.
(Seite 221)

"In time things will get better," she said softly, consolingly. "Time is the best doctor they say."
"Maybe the doctor is out."
(Seite 284)

  1. Schöne Zitate hast du wieder gefunden. Mir gefallen besonders das erste aus "Brave New World" und das vorletzte aus "Summer, Fireworks, and my Corpse". :)
